Gives Others Valuable Ideas, New Perspective and Greater Focus Hello Reader, At the Targhee Bluegrass Festival, I’m having a great time, and excited to see my new musical hero Jesse Welles. I’ve been pondering something a friend recently told me about YouTube. He said "the algorithm increasingly rewards valuable content: ideas people genuinely want to hear and will stick around to finish." You don’t need a million followers. You need to offer something that matters. ThIs festival is a perfect example. It's not a Michael Jackson concert with a hundred thousand fans. It's a focused audience that loves what the musicians have to offer. That’s an important lesson whether you want to build a YouTube channel, or have absolutely no interest in becoming “a content creator.” Because leaders create content all day long. You create it in presentations, meetings, videos, emails, and one-on-one conversations. Every time you speak, you’re asking someone to give you a piece of their attention. And the “algorithm of life" rewards valuable content. People listen longer. They remember what you said. They share your ideas. And, over time, they learn to trust your voice. Before your next conversation or presentation, ask yourself: What can I offer that will help someone see, understand, or do something more clearly? Then give that idea a story. I often say: Never tell a story without a point. And never make a point without a story. A useful idea gives people a reason to listen. A well-chosen story gives them a way to remember it. That combination works on YouTube. It works from the keynote stage. And it works when you’re sitting across the table from a client or colleague. Watch the clip I shot at the festival below. Here’s your challenge this week: Think about one audience, one valuable idea, and one story that will help it land. You don’t need a huge following. You need to offer something that matters. And if you’d like help turning your expertise into a message people will value, remember, and share, hit reply. That’s exactly the kind of work I do with all my clients. AI, White Space Strategy, and the Future of Business Growth with Ryan EdwardsIn this episode, I sit down with Ryan Edwards, my friend and the co-founder of Camino5, for a conversation that’s been years in the making. Ryan and I first met at one of my live events in Los Angeles, and ever since, he’s been one of those people who quietly shifts how I see the business landscape. He has a rare vantage point: deep experience working with startups, global brands, and billion-dollar companies, and the pattern recognition that comes with it. Ryan’s work centers on white space strategy... finding the overlooked opportunities where real growth lives, and there couldn’t be a more relevant moment for this conversation. The pace of change has accelerated dramatically, especially with the rise of AI, and many leaders are trying to move faster without losing control. This episode exists because the rules of business strategy have changed faster in the last year than they did in the previous decade. And most leaders haven’t recalibrated yet. What we explore here isn’t fear-based. It’s grounded, optimistic, and practical. Connect with Ryan Edwards
